Brendon M Hill (Bren) is an IT professional with a decade worth of experience in various IT positions across such varied industries as the non-profit sector, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, finance, insurance, and software development. After several years as a stay at home mom, she recently re-entered the IT industry through a job retraining program as a technical apprentice with Finger Lakes ReUse, an Ithaca-based company specializing in reducing waste through reuse of donated materials. Her apprenticeship involved refurbishing donated computers for resale and running the organization’s Ebay store.
In her spare time, Bren enjoys digital photography, especially of natural scenery in the Finger Lakes region of New York where she has lived most of her life. She also enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, playing violin and piano as well as listening to most genres of music, playing with her Shih-Tzu Sophie, family vacations, and reading in various genres with her favorite being travel memoirs. I’m a huge Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees, and Syracuse basketball fan.
Bren lives in Aurora, NY, a small and lovely village on the east shore of Cayuga Lake. Aurora is best known for Wells College, Mackenzie-Childs Pottery, and the Inns of Aurora. Among the locals, Aurora is also known for its beautiful sunsets! However, Bren spends most of her work and play time 30 miles south in the college town of Ithaca, NY, best known for Cornell University and the many incredibly beautiful waterfalls in and around the city,
